Book Signing 3/4/2017

Join us for our first Book Signing Event from 1-4  on March 4, 2017, at Bishop’s Stock Fine Art, Craft and Wine at 202 W. Green Street in Snow Hill, Maryland. Ann Sturgis Coates, owner of Bishop’s Stock, and high school classmate and friend of the author, is hosting this book signing event in the town where the author was born and raised, and where her mother, the subject of the book, lived and worked for most of her life.

There is a generation in Snow Hill who will fondly remember Newell’s mother, Rachel Chapman, as a beloved teacher. It is to this same generation that Newell addresses her book, since adult children now find themselves making emotional, mental, and practical preparation for those last years parents and children have together. With her writing, the author hopes this practical and timely book will aid in being prepared for those years.

Guests will have an opportunity to not only purchase the book and have it personally signed by Ms. Newell, but also have an opportunity to talk with the author about the process of dealing with the last years of a parent’s life, and navigating through the subsequent days, weeks, and months following that death, as well as overcoming and surviving the grief that threatens to consume you during this most difficult time in your life.

Books will be available for purchase directly from the author, or you may bring your own previously-purchased copy for signing as well.

Snow Hill, Maryland, is located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, just a half hour from the resort town on Ocean City. This unique and quaint town features historic churches and homes, and a quaint downtown retail area of unique shops and restaurants. Three bed and breakfast inns are available for out of town guests who just want to enjoy a leisurely week or weekend away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

We look forward to seeing you on March 4! For more information on Snow Hill, visit the town’s website.
